    This was a good introduction. It covered most of the trade agreements, economic agreements and the theories and regional economic integration concepts were clearly explained for the most part.

    As a citizen of a CARICOM member country, I would like to discuss a little about the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), to your discussion, as it covers the following tenets:

    free movement of goods
    free movement of services
    free movement of capital
    free movement of labour
    a common external tariff
    a common trade policy

    One of the positive outcomes I can mention is with the free movement of labour: regionally, low skilled labourers can receive training that is regionally certified, to assist them in receiving salaries and remuneration packages commensurate with their regional qualifications, if they choose to move from one CARICOM member state to another. Prior to that, only skilled labourers and workers, and those in managerial positions were afforded that liberty.
