The main objective of this Learning Unit is to study the principle techniques of implementation of a digital project for eBusiness.

Learning Unit Summary

In this Learning Unit we are going to analyse how a company can implement eBusiness strategies in its activities. This must be based on a well-developed project with well-defined objectives.

Being online for the sake of it is not enough. The first step to be taken by a company is to define what kind of business it wants to be: “bricks and mortar” (a company that operates only in traditional markets) or a “pure player” (a digital company operating only on the Internet) or a combination of both. Establishing a business online involves more than just creating a few web pages.

eBusiness implementation must be considered as a process of business re-engineering which must take advantage of all new technologies available. Many things will have to be re-invented. The implementation of eBusiness involves many aspects, which will be examined in this Learning Unit.
