In only five years the Internet has evolved from a network of 3 million users, the majority of which were US residents, to become a means of global trade with around 350 million users all over the world. Business on the Internet at its peak doubled every 100 days. With the appearance of this new business channel, many things which were certain and familiar in company management are no longer so. In this learning unit we are going to study the different forms of electronic commerce (B2B, B2C, etc.) and discuss the features of this new market.
