Besides working with current students and building awareness in Ghana of eBSI’s trade development programs, he will be authorised to take payment for eBSI’s programs locally on behalf of eBSI.

Francis Yaw Tontoh has thirteen years experience in the International Trade Sector, with about 12years experience in Managerial positions.
In his career, Francis has been involved in designing and building corporate statistical reporting models, Fraud Detection & Risk Management, Compliance of standards particularly the assessment of Rule of Origin for the purpose of Valuation, Fraud Reporting, Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Quality Control & Assurance within Public Private Partnership of the Trade Facilitation Scheme of the International Trade Sector in Ghana.
In the past four years and as part of his schedule, he has been a facilitator or a lead instructor in scheduled trainings for staff, managers and assigned GRA- Customs officers on the above areas of responsibilities. In line with his duties, Francis Yaw Tontoh was also trained and certified in International Trade programs in Ireland – UK. He also received hands on specialized training in Risk Management, Classification (Harmonized Commodity Code), Valuation (including Rule of Origin) and Post Clearance Audit by experts from Ghana, Tanzania and UK.
Building up a career, he served as a Quality Assurance Officer through to Reporting Manager and Risk Manager at Inspection and Control Services Limited (GH). At Webb Fontaine (GH) Limited he served as Risk and Reconciliation Manager where he developed the Corporate Reporting Units of both the Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire offices and undertook a strategic system audit in the Nigeria office for efficiency and adequacy.
Francis Yaw Tontoh has served on various inter MDAs committees including the Customs Revenue Reconciliation Committee for utmost revenue realization by Government from the Trade facilitation scheme which also involves discussions and decisions on country of origin in relations to valuation; Committee for FCVR Interface System, thus, a Trade Clearance Paperless Project; DIC/GCNET Technical committee as an operational resource expert; and the Implementation committee – which is the highest decision making committee of the sector. The committees were chaired by officers of Ministry of Trade & Industry.
He holds a BA in Economics and History from the University of Ghana, an MBA from Blekinge Institute of Technology – Sweden and the International Trade Specialist Accreditation from eBSI Export Academy, Ireland- UK. Francis is currently pursuing his final papers with Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana and a PHD in Management from Commonwealth Open University, British Virgin Island- UK.
